Tripoli, Libya, March 12, 2011.An eerie calm reigns in the medina, the ancient city center. Signs of support for the Khaddafi regime are everywhere to be seen, and 'sponaneous' expressions of support appear as soon as a foregn journalist appears. However, evidence suggest that a number of young men are 'bussed in' Green Square to express the fervor of the libyan people for its leader. Many of them appear to be under influence of either alcool or drugs and behave quite aggressively.
