Djur Al Saher, central Iraq, May 24, 2003.Searching for personal belongings..More than 400 bodies have been recovered from mass graves in the desert. The victims were blindfolded and had their hands tied up; digging evidence suggest they have been pushed alive in the trenches, sprayed with bullets, the trenches were then filled in by bulldozers, a number of them probably buried alive in the process..All the victims are men from nearby Moussayib, rounded up by Hussein Kamal, Saddam's son-in-law on march 5th 1991 in punishment for the Shia'i uprising that followed the Gulf War..
