Rafah, Egypt, Jan 09, 2009.The Egyptian side of the gate, 10 meters away begins Gaza besieged territory. In observance with Egyptian-Israeli security agreements, the Rafah border crossing remains closed except for humanitarian goods, no one is allowed to cross. On the 13th day of the Israeli operation in Gaza, one and a half million people are still deprived of electricity and basic supplies, as well as being unable to flee from the densely populated combat zone.
