Teheran, Iran, April 16, 2007.Derelict buildings in the old part of the city are 'home' to hundreds if not thousands of heroine addicts like Hamid. The Iranian government is trying hard to curb the smuggling of opium through the Afghan/Iran border, especially by improved cooperation with the Afghan government but the scale of the problem remains huge.
