Rafah, Gaza strip, Jan 11, 2009.A large part of Rafah close to the Egyptian border is left empty and looks like a ghost town as it is constantly pounded by the Israeli air force. Thousands of inhabitants fled to less exposed parts of the city, eventhough nowhere is safe.
