Kartafa, Tchad, June 17 2004.Kxxx Jxxx Ixxx, 16, was abducted with her father, Jxxx Ixxx Axxx, 45, and taken away into Sudan by Janjawid militia. She was raped 3 times then sent home with a demand for her father's ransom..He was very severely beaten before he could make a lucky escape in the middle of the night, walking several hours to reach the Tchadian border where he was finally rescued by villagers.
